But it’s much smaller than the 2020 class (which numbered 819) or the all-time largest class in 2018 (which numbered 928). This year’s class is right in line with the number of invitees the last two years – 395 in 2021 and 397 in 2022. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 398 artists and executives, including The Weeknd, David Byrne, Taylor Swift, Austin Butler, Keke Palmer, Bill Hader and Paul Reiser.
